Our Warranty

We are one of the few laptop parts suppliers that offer a two year warranty on new parts purchased after 1st August 2009 as standard. Parts purchased prior to this carry one year warranty.

What is and isn't covered?

We will replace, free of charge, any product which fails within a period of two years from purchase. If a replacement is not available we will refund part or all of the purchase price depending on the age of the item.

As you would expect your warranty will not cover parts which have been physically damaged, altered, modified or have simply worn out during normal use.

This warranty covers new parts only. We sell very few used or refurbished parts but where we do we will have made this clear at the time of order. Warranty on refurbished parts may vary.

Your rights

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under UK or European Law.

How to claim

You need to return the product stating approximately when it was purchased, providing us with your contact details and a description of the fault. We advise all customers to email us with details prior to returning parts.

If you intend to return goods please click here to print a copy of our RMA form  All goods returned must have a completed copy of this form enclosed with them. You do not need an RMA number.

Please note that we only offer a return to base warranty, it is up to you to return products to us for repair or replacement. We recommend insuring valuable items.  If the product is less than seven days old we will / may arrange collection or reimburse postage.

Many faults are resolved without returning products, therefore under no circumstances should you return products without first contacting us.

If we cannot carry out a cost effective repair we reserve the right to refund the purchase price of the product or provide a replacement of similar quality.  If no fault is found with a product we reserve the right to charge a no fault found fee to cover administration and labour costs.

Returns

Should you wish to return an item for any reason other than a warranty claim, for example if you have ordered the wrong item, please note that we cannot refund postage or carriage charges and that we will charge a 20% re-stocking fee (business customers only). Individuals who wish to return goods must notify us within seven days of receipt of goods otherwise the same fees will apply. Goods must be returned unused in the condition they were supplied otherwise a re-stocking fee may apply or they may not be accepted.  This does not affect your statutory rights.
